Behind the Scenes Tips and Tricks of a Photo Shoot

Whenever you look at an image in a magazine you have to realize that most often the image isn't always as it may seem. It's done in a "show" style way to portray the perfect look and body possible. In the fitness industry it's even more prevalent than you might believe and often little tricks and tips are used to peak for that very brief moment during the photo shoot. By watching the video below you'll see some behind the scenes footage of the Team Green Photo Shoot with Glen Grant and if you look closely, you'll be able to pick up on some of the actions that allow athletes to look their best when they are in front of the camera. Here are some tips to look out for and things that you can use as you prepare for your photo shoot.

1) Wine -Makes you vascular and increases the visibility of veins in your body. Drinking a small amount of wine (4-6 oz.) approximately 20 minutes before you are in front of the camera will give you that intense  vein popping look.

2) Body Butter or Oil -By applying a shin to your body, the camera will be able to pick up the contours of your body more easily. A photo is flat and by shining the curves gives it that 3D dimension.

3) Make Up -Both Men and Women need make up applied to their face to give it the added flare that will spark the viewers attention. Little details such as eye liner and mascara (Yes on guys) makes your eyes more powerful and commanding.

4)Attitude -Attitude is everything and the camera will pick up the emotions that you give off. If you are confident and proud.. the images will show that.. So keep your energy high and give everything you have to get the most perfect photos that you can.
